KANSAS CITY (TNS) — In January 2012, Dom Dwyer arrived in Kansas City ready to learn his professional fate. Fifteen names were announced at the Kansas City Convention Center before the MLS SuperDraft clock fell to Sporting KC. The club opted for Dwyer.

KANSAS CITY (TNS) — A Major League Soccer two-week hiatus arrived in early June, and for Sporting Kansas City, it provided a much-needed break. The club had fallen to eighth place in the Western Conference standings only a day earlier, a product of its inability to win on its home field.
